Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Startup Support Center (Director Son Jeong-min) announced on the 27th that it will participate in Jeonju City's new subsidy program, the 'Pet Industry Development Support Project,' and provide support for start-ups and business operations.

Accordingly, the JBNU Startup Support Center, with support from Jeonju City, plans over the next 10 months to identify prospective entrepreneurs and start-up companies established within the past three years in the pet industry sector, and to provide necessary support such as training, mentoring, and start-up funding.

It will also run various programs to build a start-up ecosystem for the pet industry within Jeonju City.

JBNU is recruiting participants for the pet startup support project until April 19. The project targets prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs in pet-related manufacturing and ICT convergence technology fields, including pet food (snacks), healthcare products, grooming products, and fashion items. Service-sector businesses such as pet shops and simple retail or distribution operations are excluded from eligibility. Inquiries may be directed to the JBNU Startup Support Center (063-219-5216).

Son Jeong-min, Director of the JBNU Startup Support Center, said, 'We are very pleased to operate the Pet Industry Development Support Project with Jeonju City,' and added, 'Based on our expertise and experience in start-ups, we will support prospective entrepreneurs in Jeonju City's pet industry to achieve successful launch.'

Meanwhile, Jeonju City will operate the Pet Industry Development Support Project together with the JBNU Startup Support Center and will identify and support prospective entrepreneurs who wish to start businesses in the pet industry sector.
