Jeonbuk National University (President Yang O-bong) Jeonbuk National University Institute for Southeast Asian Studies (hereinafter JISEAS) has posted on YouTube the 6th Southeast Asia Regional Trends Briefing (hereinafter the Briefing), which it co-hosted with the Korean Association for Southeast Asian Studies and the Sogang University East Asia Research Institute. 

The Briefing, now available on YouTube, was organized to disseminate information about the Southeast Asian region and to enhance public understanding. It attracted considerable interest, with nearly 100 pre-registrants. 

Search the YouTube channel name 'Jeonbuk National University Institute for Southeast Asian Studies JISEAS' and '6th Southeast Asia Regional Trends Briefing' to view the 2023 trends and the 2024 outlook for Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Myanmar, and ASEAN. 

JISEAS began uploading lecture videos on YouTube in 2020 to cover developments across Southeast Asian countries during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since 2021, it has held live online Briefings and has released edited recordings on YouTube. 

Jeon Je-seong, Director (President of the Korean Association for Southeast Asian Studies and Professor, Department of Political Science and Diplomacy, JBNU), said, "Although we had no choice but to begin the Briefings online because of COVID-19, this actually enabled audiences from across the country to participate," and added, "We will spare no effort to support the continued delivery of Briefings that disseminate information about the Southeast Asian region and enhance public understanding."
