“Welcoming JBNU Students Returning After a Rewarding Winter Break.”

Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), led by President Yang O‑bong, held a welcoming event early on the morning of March 4 to warmly greet students returning for the first day of the 2024 academic year after the winter break.

From 8:20 a.m. that morning, President Yang O‑bong, headquarters officials, and student self‑governing organization officers greeted students arriving at the Main Gate, West Gate, North Gate, and East Gate, handing out 4,000 servings of bread, chocolates, and beverages.

In particular, President Yang O‑bong continued close, face‑to‑face engagement with students by shaking hands with each student and handing out snacks. Students responded with smiles and expressions of gratitude as they received the snacks, filling the campus with the energy of spring.

A student who received a snack said, “Receiving the president’s encouragement on the first day of classes made me feel more energized,” adding, “Thanks to that, I’m starting the new semester with vigor, and I think this semester will be full of good things.”

President Yang O‑bong said, “I came to the Main Gate with joy to be the first to welcome our students, who each devoted their passion to their futures during the winter break,” and added, “I am also pleased to begin the new semester energized by the students, and I will continue to work harder to maintain close communication with students and to enhance their welfare.”
