PhD candidate Hyejin Kim (Department of Aerospace Engineering, supervised by Professor Hae-seong Cho) recently won the Outstanding Poster Award at the 2023 Korean Multiscale Mechanics Society Symposium held in Yeosu.

The PhD candidate presented research titled 'Deep learning-based surrogate model using spatial clustering approach for computational homogenization' at the conference.

This study employed an artificial intelligence deep learning model to predict the micromechanical behavior of composite materials. The originality and excellence of the research were recognized.
