Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) College of Veterinary Medicine (Dean Park Sang-yeol) received the highest rating — a full 6-year accreditation — in the second-cycle veterinary education accreditation from the Korean Veterinary Education Accreditation Institute, the national body overseeing veterinary education accreditation.

Having also received full accreditation in the first cycle in 2018, the JBNU College of Veterinary Medicine has demonstrated through this second-cycle full accreditation that it offers a top-level educational environment nationwide across overall areas, including student educational conditions.

Veterinary education accreditation is a system that evaluates whether institutions provide and implement adequate educational conditions so that graduates majoring in veterinary medicine can fully demonstrate their competence as professional veterinarians. The evaluation is conducted through the accreditation review process of the Korean Veterinary Education Accreditation Institute's review panel.

Through the institute's report review and a thorough on-site visit evaluation, the JBNU College of Veterinary Medicine received the highest rating in five areas: institutional effectiveness, curriculum, students, faculty, and facilities and resources.

At the certificate presentation ceremony on December 28, Dean Park Sang-yeol of the College of Veterinary Medicine received the accreditation certificate from the Korean Veterinary Education Accreditation Institute.

Dean Park Sang-yeol stated, "Receiving the highest rating of full accreditation for veterinary education in the second cycle, following the first cycle, is the result of JBNU prioritizing and striving to enhance students' educational and research environments. We will continue to make efforts to improve educational conditions so that our students can receive world-class veterinary education."
