Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Jimmy Carter School of International Studies (Dean Heo Gang-mu) and the Jeollabuk-do Bar Association (President Kim Hak-soo) signed an agreement on February 22 to foster professional talent in the Jeollabuk-do region and establish an industry–university cooperation framework.

Under the agreement, the two institutions will focus on exchanges for undergraduate education and professional training, development and dissemination of related programs, promotion of law firm experiential programs for university students, and joint development and training on institutionalized ESG content.

Following an earlier agreement with the Korea Association of Real Estate Appraisers, this industry–university cooperation is expected to further strengthen JBNU’s efforts to cultivate professional regional talent.

Dean Heo Gang-mu said, "In conjunction with JBNU’s selection as a Glocal University 30, we have agreed to actively cooperate with the Jeollabuk-do Bar Association to develop and operate curricula and programs to cultivate specialized talent for the Jeollabuk-do region," and added, "We will develop and operate high-quality content to supply the professional personnel the region requires."

Meanwhile, JBNU's Jimmy Carter School of International Studies Divsion of Public Science prepares students for professional occupations, including progression to the Law School, qualification as certified appraisers, and qualification as certified labor consultants.
