Shim Ha‑young, a doctoral student in the Department of Applied Plasma and Quantum Beam Engineering at Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), recently received the '2nd Radiation Protection Future Talent Award' at the '2023 Autumn Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Korean Association for Radiation Protection' held in Jeju.

This award is given to young researchers who actively engage in the association's activities, contribute to its development, and are recognized as promising talents in the field of radiation protection.

Over the past two years, Shim Ha‑young has participated in numerous conferences and workshops organized by the Korean Association for Radiation Protection. She was selected for the award in recognition of her contributions to the advancement of radiation protection, including participation in international academic conferences and paper presentations.

She has also participated in multiple national R&D projects in the field of radiation protection and received recognition for outstanding research achievements, including publications in SCI-indexed journals.
