A large Christmas tree has been lit on the Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) campus.

JBNU recently installed a large tree in front of the Headquarters to celebrate its recent selection for the Glocal University 30 Project with local residents and to reflect on the meaning of Christmas during the year-end season.

Nighttime lighting and other fixtures were installed around the tree, and a photo zone was also created so students and local residents can visit at any time to make memories.

President Yang O-bong said, "We provided a tree and a photo zone to offer visual attractions to university members and local residents and to allow everyone to share in the year-end atmosphere," adding, "I hope that any local resident can happily conclude the year on the JBNU campus and welcome a hopeful New Year."
