Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), the lead institution for the Entrepreneurship-Centered University project in the Honam region, is receiving strong responses as it provides stage-by-stage support to pre-entrepreneurs preparing to start businesses.

The JBNU Startup Support Group, through the Entrepreneurship-Centered University project, selected 40 pre-entrepreneurs, 25 early-stage startups within three years of founding, and 20 growth-stage startups between three and seven years, and is investing KRW 6.2 billion to support stable startup launches and growth.

The recent capacity-building training for pre-entrepreneurs, held from August 17 for one night and two days, was conducted for 40 pre-entrepreneurs selected by the Entrepreneurship-Centered University program and 23 recipients selected for the Pre-Startup Package by the Jeonbuk Center for Creative Economy and Innovation.

Through the program, pre-entrepreneurs received capacity-building education on government support programs and strategies for establishing early-stage business models. Mentoring and startup networking programs were also provided to strengthen entrepreneurial capabilities.

Following this capacity-building training, the Startup Support Group plans to continue with practical, hands-on training and mentoring that will help participants in real-world startup activities. The support will be provided in stages to enable those preparing to launch ventures to achieve stable startup success.

Meanwhile, the Entrepreneurship-Centered University pre-startup support program is an initiative that provides commercialization funding, mentoring, and training to pre-entrepreneurs with innovative technology startup ideas. It runs for eight months until March of next year.

Kwon Dae-gyu, Head of JBNU's Startup Support Group, said, "I hope this pre-entrepreneur training will provide practical assistance to entrepreneurs as they start their businesses and lead to meaningful results," adding, "We will strive to strengthen pre-entrepreneurs' capabilities through various programs, including advanced training and mentoring."
