A project that enables people to write a book and become an author in six weeks has been organized.
Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Central Library (Director Professor Jeong An-seong) will run the second session of the "Book Writing Project" online from August 2 to September 7, following last year.
Conducted as part of a national university support project, this program was created so that a leading national university library can fulfill its role and accompany the local community. It lowers the barriers to publishing and allows anyone to produce their own book in six weeks.
An author who debuted through a literary contest will teach writing techniques directly and, through one-on-one feedback, help participants complete their manuscripts and guarantee publication.
Those who wish to participate in this book writing project can apply on a first-come, first-served basis through the JBNU library website from July 22 to 28.
Participants will be provided with one published copy, and undergraduate students will receive KeunSaram Points.
Professor Jeong An-seong, Director of the Library, said, "Even under COVID-19, the JBNU Central Library continues to provide opportunities to communicate with local residents through remote programs. Through the Book Writing Project, we will strive to transform the JBNU Central Library from a library that stores books into a library that creates books, becoming a space of two-way communication."
