Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) will provide systematic support to identify young prospective entrepreneurs.

The JBNU Entrepreneurship Education Center (Director Hwang Woon-jung) announced on the 11th that it will help students concretize their ideas through the "Graduate Student Startup Club Project Support Program."

The JBNU Entrepreneurship Education Center has carried out student startup support programs since 2012. To date, more than 100 teams have succeeded in commercializing their projects, and the program has served effectively as an incubator for student entrepreneurship.

This year, in addition to student startup clubs and student startup companies, the Center will recruit graduate student startup club project teams and provide various benefits and support.

Any graduate student with a technology (knowledge)-based startup idea who wishes to deepen their entrepreneurial capabilities may participate, and undergraduate students may join as team members. Teams must consist of at least three members. The application period is until July 29.

The Entrepreneurship Education Center plans to select outstanding ideas from applying project teams through a competition and provide prototype development funding of up to KRW 10 million per project team.

The Center will also support deepening ideas through entrepreneurship capability-building education and expert mentoring, and will offer outstanding teams opportunities to participate in global exhibitions. In particular, it plans to support connections with a laboratory-specialized startup-leading university program next year.

Hwang Woon-jung, Director of the Entrepreneurship Education Center, said, "We will continue support programs for graduate students who have novel technology (knowledge) ideas but are unsure how to turn them into startups. Through this project, we will strive to stimulate technology startups, foster star companies, and brand outstanding projects."
