Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Technology Holding Company (Representative: Vice‑President Jo Gi‑hwan) is recruiting prospective entrepreneurs on a rolling basis to participate in the Jeonbuk Content Convergence Promotion Institute’s content startup support program, the "2022 Jeonbuk Content Korea Lab Content Startup Package Support Project."
This program supports business model (BM) advancement, tailored mentoring, preparation of company introduction materials, direct investment and investment attraction, network building, and other services to revitalize the local content industry. It is open to (prospective) entrepreneurs who hold startup ideas related to outstanding Jeonbuk content. A total of 30 teams will be recruited.
The recruitment fields include comics and characters, animation, music, games, and immersive content (ICT, VR/AR, holograms, projection mapping, e‑learning, etc.), i.e., areas that integrate with the digital industry. Anyone who has a startup idea in the digital content field may apply.
Prospective applicants should download the application form from the Jeonbuk Content Korea Lab website (www.jeonbukckl.or.kr), complete it, and submit it.
In particular, this project will provide not only identification and support for early‑stage content entrepreneurs but also systematic investment linkage and capacity‑building support, marketing consulting, placement on online and offline distribution platforms, and participation in exhibitions and fairs. It is expected to provide comprehensive market‑entry support and to make a significant contribution to job creation and revenue growth for content startups.
The JBNU Technology Holding Company, which is implementing this support program, plans to use a university startup fund totaling KRW 5.7 billion to select outstanding content companies from this program and make direct investments totaling KRW 800 million to create momentum for company growth.
Jo Gi‑hwan, Vice‑President and Representative Director of the Technology Holding Company, said, "Through this project, we will go beyond discovering and supporting promising prospective content entrepreneurs in the region and will provide wholehearted support until they achieve sustained commercialization and growth as regionally based content startups."
