Professor Dongmin Cho (Department of Industrial Design, College of Arts) received an academic award at the 2022 Spring Conference of the Korean Multimedia Society, which was recently held in Busan.

Professor Cho won the award for the paper titled 'Research on the Components of Children’s Educational Game Achievement System,' which he presented last year together with PhD student Sa-gon (Shi Kun).

The study provides a description of the components of the achievement system of children’s Digital Education Games (DEG). It explains the role and value of each component and the relationships and patterns among them. The work was praised for presenting a new perspective on design.

Professor Cho has attracted attention for his outstanding achievements in research, which are uncommon within the College of Arts. He currently supervises 27 graduate students. Those students have also won outstanding paper awards at various conferences through extensive collaborative research with him.

Professor Dongmin Cho said, 'I am pleased to receive this academic award as we continue research in a new field with my students,' adding, 'I will redouble my efforts in mentoring students and continue to pursue research steadily so that we can develop together.'
