The School of Pharmacy (Dean So Yun-jo) held a talk concert by inviting distinguished figures in the field of pharmacy to support the career planning of its students.

Under the theme 'Our Pharmacy Life Stories: Yesterday's Challenges and Today's Happiness', the concert was held at 4:00 p.m. on the 18th in the Global Talent Center, Keunsaram Hall. Professor Emeritus Shim Chang-koo of Seoul National University, Chairman Lee Jong-wook of Ujung Bio, and Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Professor Emeritus Hwang Ki-jun met with the School of Pharmacy faculty and students.

At the talk concert, each speaker shared the trajectories of their lives and spoke to students about the life and mission of pharmacy professionals and pride in the discipline. They also offered expert guidance on the current status and future outlook of the rapidly emerging pharmaceutical and bio industries.

Following the presentations, an open discussion session on careers and employment in the pharmacy field was held, receiving strong responses from students. Professor Emeritus Shim urged students to "climb the ladder of life one rung at a time and cultivate a long-term vision." Chairman Lee encouraged students to "take on the challenge of new drug development aimed at the global pharmaceutical market, estimated at 1,700 trillion." Professor Emeritus Hwang, who served as the inaugural head of the JBNU School of Pharmacy Establishment Promotion Team, said, "We expect School of Pharmacy students at JBNU to make contributions across diverse areas of pharmacy."

In particular, prior to the talk concert, the School of Pharmacy presented plaques of appreciation to Professor Emeritus Shim Chang-koo, Chairman Lee Jong-wook, and Professor Emeritus Hwang Ki-jun in recognition of their contributions to the establishment and development of the School of Pharmacy.

Dean So Yun-jo said, "We organized this event to help students establish a sense of life and mission as pharmacy professionals through meetings with distinguished figures in the field." She added, "We plan to implement a wider range of student support programs so that students can monitor recent trends in pharmacy, understand the future of the pharmaceutical and bio industries, and set their career paths accordingly."
