A book cafe for students of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), designed to support learning activities and foster interdisciplinary thinking, has opened at the Iksan Specialized Campus.

The book cafe, which completed interior work in April and recently opened on the second floor of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, was created with a budget of KRW 18 million provided by University Headquarters and the College of Veterinary Medicine Development Fund to enhance students' educational competitiveness and to provide a space that students can use freely.

The space is furnished to accommodate free discussion, collaboration, and relaxation, and is stocked with major-specific and general education books. It is expected to be used by students for individual and group study.

Since its opening on the 9th, students and the animal hospital's medical staff have been visiting, and it is expected to become a restful space for students of the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Kim Jong-ik and Park Ji-seong, second-year students in the professional course at the College of Veterinary Medicine, said, "There has long been a lack of spaces where students can eat and hold study sessions together, so we are pleased that such a space has been made available nearby. We hope many of our peers will actively use this space to rest from academic fatigue and to generate new ideas."

An Dong-chun, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, said, "The veterinary book cafe will provide a comfortable place for all students to relax and help them generate creative ideas. I hope this space will play a positive role in allowing students to continue their studies."
