The Central Library (Director Professor Jeong An-seong) will hold the "Academic Electronic Information Expo" to publicize the electronic resources it offers to support faculty and students' research and learning activities and to enhance academic information utilization skills.

Held for the ninth time over five days from May 9–13, 2022, this expo will be conducted online using Airmeet, a virtual platform enabling real-time bidirectional communication, making it the first among national and public university libraries to do so.

The expo will feature a total of 24 major domestic and international electronic resource providers—including Nurimedia, CNC Academic Information, Media Hankukhak, Woongjin OPMS eBooks, Elsevier, and EBSCO—each offering special lectures and related quizzes at their online booths to introduce electronic resource search methods and useful search functions.

In addition, realistic real-time consultation tables will provide personalized information-search support to students.

In particular, the program will be richer than last year, with web seminars on various topics such as "Searching Academic Information for Absolute Beginners" and "Efficient Approaches to Submitting to International Journals and Managing Journals."

To participate, access the "Airmeet Reception Page" on the Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Central Library website (https://dl.jbnu.ac.kr/) , complete the required pre-registration, and then take the booth tour. For more details, refer to the notices on the library website.

Students who visit five or more booths will be eligible to receive JBNU Keunsaram Points and one hour of credit for the liberal arts course "College Life and Career Planning." Each online booth will also offer a variety of prizes, including iPads, AirPods, Bluetooth speakers, wireless chargers, and Samsung external hard drives.

Director Professor Jeong An-seong of the Central Library said, "I hope the expo using Airmeet will provide an engaging opportunity for the university community to take greater interest in the library's electronic resources," adding, "We will strengthen the role of the library as a platform library and plan useful programs that support the learning and research of our community, so that the library becomes a venue for communication with users."
