A married couple who have regularly supported junior students through the School of Medicine Alumni Association donated 10 million won to the development fund. The donors are Director Park In-sook of Seoul Radiology Clinic and Professor Kim Won-ho (Department of Internal Medicine, Cardiology). They are a married couple and alumni of the 8th class of Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) School of Medicine.

The JBNU School of Medicine invited Director Park and her husband to the university on the afternoon of April 28 and held a donation ceremony attended by Im Seok-tae, Dean of the School of Medicine, and Kwon Geun-sang, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of the School of Medicine.

Director Park In-sook said, "Reflecting on the School of Medicine's 50-year history as I toured the university, many memories of my student days surfaced, and I am proud to see my alma mater advancing toward the next 100 years. I hope this will, even in a small way, help create an environment where medical students can pursue their studies under better conditions."

Professor Kim Won-ho, who has shown passion for teaching and research on the university faculty, also said, "Although I have little time left before retirement, I am proud of the 50 years of medicine we have built together. I urge Dean Im Seok-tae and junior faculty to continue their efforts so that the JBNU School of Medicine can develop further beyond its role as a regional hub."

Im Seok-tae, Dean of the School of Medicine, expressed his deep appreciation for their steady support of junior students and for additionally contributing to the development fund. He explained in detail the JBNU School of Medicine's development plans as it advances toward the next 100 years.
