JBNU Continuing Education Center (Director Yang Byung-ho, Professor) announced on the 1st that it has opened its first-semester curriculum this year to support lifelong learning for local residents.

The first-semester curriculum includes the Division of Educational Welfare, Division of Life and Liberal Arts, Division of Sports and Health, Division of Languages and Literature, Division of Arts, and Division of Vocational Education. Approximately 2,100 students registered in 166 class sections across the six divisions.

JBNU Continuing Education Center has implemented strict infection-control measures to ensure the smooth operation of its programs and to prevent the curtailment of community lifelong learning due to COVID-19.

Newly appointed Director of the Continuing Education Center Yang Byung-ho said, "We will strive to provide a wide and rich range of lifelong education courses so that the residents of Jeonbuk can enjoy an exciting, pleasant, and happy life," and added, "As rapid social changes such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the era of hyperconnected networks increasingly require specialized capabilities, we will work to develop and operate innovative curricula that respond to contemporary needs."

In line with this policy, JBNU Continuing Education Center plans to introduce innovative courses from the second semester based on consultations that reflect local residents' expectations and needs.
