Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) (President Kim Dong-won) held a report meeting on the 16th to share and disseminate the outcomes of its overseas exchanges. The university supports graduate students’ active exchange and communication with overseas universities through the 'Global Companion Network' project.

The project supports personnel exchange activities among outstanding talents at overseas universities to promote international collaborative research. It also transfers networks among supervisors to graduate students to expand inter-university collaborative research and opportunities for overseas training after graduation.

Ten teams are participating and are carrying out various exchange activities with universities in the United States, China, Hong Kong, Spain, and Indonesia through next year.

In particular, as the project prepares to transition to a second phase that includes direct visits to overseas sites, sharing outstanding exchange cases with foreign universities served as an opportunity to stimulate interest in international collaborative research and networking.

Cha Yeon-su, Dean of the Graduate School, said, "We will do our best to strengthen students' research capabilities and to support balanced development among disciplines through systematic support for scholarly research across diverse fields — the humanities, social sciences, and science and engineering — and by taking into account researchers' stages of development."
