The Center for Engineering Education Innovation (Director Professor Il‑jae Lee) recently successfully completed an Arduino‑based autonomous driving training program to cultivate future engineering talent.
Conducted in a hybrid online and offline format, the program was attended by 32 students from six universities (Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), Kongju National University, Kwangwoon University, Soonchunhyang University, Chonnam National University, Chungnam National University) and was held from the 18th to the 20th.
The course included theoretical and practical instruction on the fundamental principles of autonomous driving, basic Arduino training, assembly and motion programming of autonomous vehicles, line‑tracer and motion testing, and remote control. Instructors were organized so that online participants could follow along as well as offline attendees, earning strong positive responses from students.
All participants engaged enthusiastically in the program while strictly adhering to social distancing and public health guidelines related to COVID-19.
Director Il‑jae Lee of the Center for Engineering Education Innovation said, "We operated the program in a hybrid online and offline format so that more students could receive the training," and added, "We will contribute to cultivating future engineering talent by developing and offering a variety of programs that can further enhance expertise."
