Seung-hyun Lee (College of Engineering, Division of Mechanical System Engineering; advisor Professor Jeong-woo Lee) received the President's Award (Undergraduate Student Award) presented by the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers.
This award is presented by the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers to an outstanding university student nationwide who has demonstrated excellent academic and research achievements in the field of automotive engineering and is regarded as a promising candidate to lead the field in the future.
Seung-hyun Lee participated as an intern in a hydrogen engine development project conducted by the Green Power Laboratory at the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials and, together with advisor Professor Jeong-woo Lee, presented the research at the 2021 Fall Conference of the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers.
In particular, Seung-hyun Lee developed a thermodynamic analysis model for applying hydrogen, a carbon-free fuel, to engines in the carbon-neutral era, and plans to submit the research results to the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
Beginning this year, Seung-hyun Lee will enroll in the integrated master's and doctoral program in the Power Engineering Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University, where he will continue research on environmentally friendly power sources.
