Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) will recruit a total of 1,705 students in the 2022 regular admissions, with 895 in Group A and 810 in Group B, starting from December 30, 2021. The number of places increased from the original plan as 298 unfilled places from the early admissions were transferred to the regular admissions.
In Group A, under the General Student Track, JBNU will select 853 students from the Department of Smart Farm as well as from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (excluding the Department of Bioscience & Rural Resources), the College of Education, the College of Business and Economics, the College of Human Ecology, the College of Medicine, the College of Humanities, the College of Natural Science, the School of Dentistry, and the Jimmy Carter School of International Studies. Under the Regional Talent Track, it will select 34 students, including 29 for the College of Medicine and 5 for the School of Dentistry. The Predental Course of the School of Dentistry will, for the first time this year, admit new students through the Regional Talent Track.
In Group B, JBNU will select 694 students from the College of Nursing, the College of Engineering, the College of Social Science, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the School of Pharmacy, and the College of Environmental & Bioresource Sciences, and 104 students from the arts and physical education departments. The Department of Pharmacy in the School of Pharmacy will admit new students for the first time this year.
Except for the arts and physical education departments, selection in both Groups A and B is based 100% on College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) scores. For the arts and physical education departments, high school records, CSAT scores, and practical exam results are considered. The mature student track (Department of Bioscience & Rural Resources, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences) follows the same procedure as the early admissions.
For CSAT scores, standardized scores are used for Korean and Mathematics. For the inquiry subjects, converted standardized scores based on percentile ranks are used. English and Korean History are applied as additional points.
Applications will be accepted online only from December 30, 2021 to January 3, 2022 via the JBNU Admission Information website (http://enter.jbnu.ac.kr) and Uway Apply (http://www.uwayapply.com). Practical exams for the arts and physical education departments will be held on January 14, 2022.
Successful applicants for the General Student and Regional Talent Tracks will be announced on January 26, 2022, and those for the arts and physical education departments on January 27, 2022.
