Digital Culture Archive Journal, published by the Institute of Culture Convergence Archiving, College of Humanities (Director: Professor Kim Geon), has been selected as a candidate journal for listing by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
The journal published its first issue on October 30, 2018. It is published twice a year and shares the latest convergence and interdisciplinary research outcomes of scholars in related fields.
In particular, through the efforts of its influential editorial board members, the journal has, in a relatively short period, demonstrated excellence and laid the groundwork to grow into a nationally recognized academic journal. It is making concerted efforts to advance toward becoming an international journal.
Kim Geon, Director of the Institute of Culture Convergence Archiving at Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), said, "Thanks to the help of the institute and numerous researchers in related fields, we are pleased to have the honor of being selected as a candidate journal as we have shared and disseminated research on culture and digital technologies. Going forward, we will work toward selection as a journal listed by the National Research Foundation of Korea and toward internationalization, aiming for inclusion in leading global academic databases such as Scopus (SCOPUS)."
