A large-scale event in which local startups aspiring to become future unicorn companies by leveraging innovation gathered to share information and seek collaboration was held from November 24–26 at Namwon Suite Hotel.

Held for the first time nationwide this year, the event brought together seven organizations — Jeonbuk Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), Jeonju University, Kunsan National University, Jeonbuk Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, Korea Carbon Industry Promotion Agency, and the Jeonbuk Startup Incubation Center Association — along with some 200 startups participating in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' startup support programs. Various programs were offered over the three days.

At the opening ceremony on the 24th, beginning with a startup proclamation announcing the "Jeonbuk Startup Package WEEK," startups had the opportunity to expand exchanges among entrepreneurial companies through networking events under the theme of startup survival and growth.

On the 25th, through the JB Global Challenger, which validates prospective entrepreneurs' items in overseas markets, three companies signed MOUs worth USD 1.99 million. Through JB Global Investment (JBNU Startup Support Group), which supports global fundraising for early-stage startups, three companies also signed letters of intent for investments totaling USD 270,000.

Selected companies from the Early-stage Startup Package participated in the G-ROAD Live Commerce Market for market development and in the Early-stage Startup Package Overseas Market-Development Program, creating an opportunity to move closer to securing domestic and international sales channels.

In addition, events were held not only for early-stage companies but also for scale-up companies in their third to seventh years, as well as for supporting the transformation of laboratory research outcomes into business items, thereby assisting a variety of firms.

Kwon Dae-gyu Director of the Startup Support Group said, "Through collaboration with startup-related organizations across the Jeonbuk region, we expect that focusing on promoting and sharing entrepreneurship support programs will help many startups strengthen their capabilities. We will continue to create stepping stones for regional startups to grow through sharing and solidarity."
