The Entrepreneurship Education Center (Director Hwang Un-jung, Professor) held the "Marketing Codes Trending Now!! Easy-to-Understand Marketing Creative Idea Camp" from the 18th for about 50 university students from the Jeonbuk region interested in entrepreneurship, and successfully concluded the program.
Organized in cooperation with a consortium of nine universities in the Jeonbuk region and the Jeonju Venture Business Promotion District Development Association (hereinafter JVADA), the event aimed to expand entrepreneurial culture among universities in the Jeonbuk area, revitalize students affected by the COVID-19 slowdown, and provide opportunities for start-up CEOs and local youth to explore and exchange entrepreneurial capabilities.
The camp was an in-person program bringing together current university students from the Jeonbuk region and start-up CEOs. It was conducted offline in compliance with health and safety protocols and focused on program instruction, mentoring, and practical marketing application methods.
Divided into ten teams, the camp had ten start-up CEOs, including Im Hye-young, CEO of Deochikong, serving as dedicated mentors. They provided hands-on training covering basic marketing theory through practical application and production.
Students, in particular, planned creative ideas with start-up CEOs and produced them hands-on. After evaluations of outstanding ideas, all ten teams received commendations and cash prizes as a form of encouragement.
Jeong Min-seong, a student in the Department of International Trade who participated in the camp, said, "It was a very meaningful time to learn marketing techniques alongside mentors who have realized their start-up dreams. I am especially pleased that the idea my team worked hard on received high marks and won the grand prize. I would definitely like to participate again if there is another opportunity."
Hwang Un-jung, Director of the Entrepreneurship Education Center, said, "Going forward, we will actively support young people in the Jeonbuk region who are considering career paths by working closely with the nine universities in the region to continually create opportunities that foster an entrepreneurial mindset and allow exploration of entrepreneurial capabilities, so that Jeonbuk youth can lead the challenge of starting businesses."
