Our university's students are expected to gain momentum in entering the broadcasting sector. This follows our university's signing of an Industry–University Collaboration agreement with Jeonju MBC (President Jeon Seong-jin) on the morning of June 24, under which both parties agreed to closely cooperate on students' on-site practical training in broadcasting.
Under the agreement, our university will exchange research and field personnel in the broadcasting sector with Jeonju MBC and will actively support on-site practical training to help students secure employment in broadcasting-related fields.
They will also share technology and information — including technology transfer and the holding of seminars related to broadcasting — and jointly utilize the equipment and facilities of both institutions.
In particular, Jeonju MBC is expected to play a significant role in students' broadcasting practicums by donating broadcasting equipment worth approximately 160 million won, including ENG cameras, to the Department of Journalism and Broadcasting.
President Seo Geoseok said, 'Jeonju MBC is a public broadcaster rooted in the local community that captures the lives and realities of local residents and has provided Jeonbuk's outstanding cultural and artistic broadcasting content to the residents.' He added, 'I hope that close exchanges going forward will further energize our students' advancement into the broadcasting sector.'
