Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) has been selected for the 2013 Admissions Officers Capacity-Building Support Program, organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korean Council for University Education, for the fourth consecutive year.

Thus, JBNU has once again demonstrated that it operates the Admissions Officers System very effectively, and since the system was implemented in 2008 the university has received government support for six consecutive years.

JBNU's continued selection for government-supported programs over several years is due to its favorable evaluations in fairness, reliability, and professionalism—factors regarded as the most important in the Admissions Officers System.

The university has developed various admissions tracks reflecting the characteristics of each recruiting unit and has implemented multi‑stage evaluations through a broad personnel pool that includes full‑time admissions officers, faculty admissions officers, and externally appointed admissions officers.

In particular, last year JBNU established and has operated the nation’s first 'Admissions Officers System Development Forum,' which includes internal and external experts, and earlier this year it published its own white paper comprehensively covering the Admissions Officers System.

Han Sang-eon, Vice-President of the Office of Admission, said, "Being selected for the government support program for four consecutive years signifies that JBNU has been making sustained efforts to stabilize and develop the Admissions Officers System." He added, "We will take pride in being a university leading the Admissions Officers System and will further strengthen our admissions processes so that we can select outstanding candidates with potential."
