    Professor Jong-Gwan Park Receives Presidential Award for Contributions to Medical Device Safety

    Professor Jong-Gwan Park of the Medical School (Department of Urology) received the Presidential Award at the 6th Medical Devices Day commemorative event held recently in Seoul in recognition of his contributions to medical device safety.

    Professor Park, who has served as director of the Medical Device Clinical Trial Center at the university hospital, was chosen for the award in recognition of his outstanding leadership and research capabilities related to medical devices.

    In particular, he has led successful national health and medical projects that have contributed to the development of the medical device industry. He has also produced research achievements in ensuring the safety of medical devices and improving product performance.

    He was also recognized for his efforts to revitalize the domestic medical device market and to improve its vulnerable sectors, contributing to the qualitative enhancement of public health care.

    Professor Park graduated from the university's Medical School and earned his master's and doctoral degrees at the same graduate school. He served as Chair of the Department of Urology at the Medical School, Director of the Medical Device Safety Information Monitoring Center at the university hospital, Director of the Clinical Research Institute, and President of the Korean Society for Men's Health. He currently serves as Director of the Clinical Research Project Group at the university hospital, Director of the Medical Device Clinical Trial Center, and President of the Korean Society of Male Menopause.
