The university's alumni association, composed of members employed at Korea Exchange Bank (President Jeon Jong-bae·Department of Public Administration, Class of '77), donated KRW 20 million to support the alma mater's development and to enhance the educational competitiveness of its junior students.
President Jeon Jong-bae and 15 alumni held a meeting at a restaurant in Seoul on the evening of May 6 and pledged support for the university's development. They also held a ceremony for the donation of the development fund.
The fund was pooled through small contributions from President Jeon Jong-bae of the Korea Exchange Bank alumni association and 15 alumni, expressing their affection for their alma mater and its junior students.
President Jeon said, 'I am very proud as an alumnus that our alma mater has, over recent years, built a reputation as one of the most notable institutions in the Republic of Korea in research and education,' adding, 'Although the amount is modest, I hope our junior students can study in better conditions and that the university's competitiveness will continue to rise day by day.'
