Gochang Campus has become easily accessible not only to local residents but also to the University’s undergraduate students.

Since opening last year, Gochang Campus, which has provided reeducation and lifelong learning opportunities to residents of Gochang, is expanding its role as a venue for student career camps, workshops, and similar programs.

The University expects this will support systematic student career services and contribute to revitalizing the local economy in Gochang.

According to the University, the Gochang Campus has been equipped with lecture rooms, a dining hall, and a residence hall to accommodate approximately 260 people for residential training. University members and students have been conducting various camps, workshops, and experiential learning programs there.

In fact, the University decided that, beginning this year, the career camps that had previously been run through private organizations would be held at the Gochang Campus. On April 5 and 6, over a one-night, two-day period, the campus hosted career orientation and career competency-building camps attended by some 200 students. Participants engaged in structured activities such as job-specific task analysis, application-document clinics, and mock-interview practice.

In addition, the University plans to hold a 'Leadership Camp' for students at the Gochang Campus next month and intends to host various on-campus programs and camps there to support student employment and other campus initiatives.

The University currently operates at the Gochang Campus the bachelor's degree program 'Department of Agricultural Biology' for the reeducation of local residents, and the government-selected 'Wooden Construction Professional Training Program' chosen in 2010. A lifelong education program consisting of five courses—classical Chinese reading, forest ecology interpretation, psychological counseling, speech, and the Tao Te Ching—recently began, further strengthening the campus’s reeducation functions for local residents.

An official of the University said, 'Gochang Campus has been advanced with a focus on reeducation and lifelong learning and has received strong support from Gochang residents,' adding, 'We plan to continue to hold various student camps, workshops, and experiential learning programs here to further increase the utilization of the Gochang Campus.'
