‘Preparing for the Admissions Officers' Evaluation!’
Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) has distributed a booklet and a leaflet that provide detailed information on the Admissions Officers' evaluation for the 2014 academic year to high schools and universities nationwide. The materials have been of great help to students preparing for the Admissions Officers' evaluation and to high schools.
The materials distributed nationwide this time are the Admissions Officers' guidebook 'Da Moyeo-ra! Keul Saram' and the leaflet 'Understanding the Admissions Officers' Evaluation'.
The 52-page guidebook contains abundant material, including 'Understanding the Admissions Officers' Evaluation', 'What Kind of Candidates Does the Admissions Officers' Evaluation Seek?', 'JBNU Detailed Introduction to the Admissions Officers' Evaluation for the 2014 Academic Year', 'Successful Applicants' Accounts of the Admissions Officers' Evaluation', 'Mentor–Mentee Stories: Seniors to Juniors', and 'Media Coverage of the Admissions Officers' Evaluation'.
The leaflet 'Understanding the Admissions Officers' Evaluation' is eight pages long. It is designed to make the Admissions Officers' evaluation easier to understand and provides detailed information for each screening type.
The Office of Admissions Officers distributed the guidebook and the leaflet to high schools nationwide, including 133 high schools in the Jeonbuk region, and uploaded the originals to JBNU's Admissions Officers' evaluation resources page on the university website (http://enter.chonbuk.ac.kr/Admissions/) so that many education stakeholders can access them.
Chi-Song Lee, Director of the Office of Admissions Officers, said, 'We produced and distributed the guidebook and the leaflet to help answer, even in a small way, the questions of many students and parents preparing for the Admissions Officers' evaluation,' and added, 'I hope the guidebook and the leaflet will help resolve information gaps about the Admissions Officers' evaluation and assist school counseling for university admission.'
