Professor Kim Yong-suk (Department of Fashion Design, College of Human Ecology) has been appointed as the 11th President of the Costume Culture Association and will serve through 2015.

The Costume Culture Association holds a spring academic conference and, together with the renowned international scholarly organization Ars Textrina, established the ITCCC (International Textiles & Costume Culture Conference). It brings together prestigious universities worldwide to host international academic conferences and costume exhibitions.
This October, in cooperation with Kasetsart University (Thailand), it plans to hold an international academic conference and costume exhibition in Bangkok. It also holds summer and winter seminars during the summer and winter breaks, and publishes the academic journal Costume Culture Research, registered with the National Research Foundation of Korea, six times a year.
Professor Kim said, 'I hope the Costume Culture Association will take the lead in continuously holding the ITCCC every year with the participation of leading universities worldwide.'
Professor Kim, a member of the inaugural class of the Department of Fashion Design at Seoul National University, studied at the University of Alabama in the United States and has been on the faculty at Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) since 1984.
