Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) has published the 'Admissions Officer System White Paper.'

This book has attracted attention as the first white paper to clearly summarize the status of the Admissions Officer System from its early implementation in 2008 through the present and to present directions for its development.

The book is organized into seven sections, including 'Overview of the Admissions Officer System'; 'Strengthening the Foundations of the Admissions Officer System', which covers the overall operation of admissions officer selection processes and measures to enhance admissions officers' professionalism; 'Promoting Policy Information Exchange and Policy Dissemination of the Admissions Officer System'; 'Publicity Achievements for Policy Dissemination'; and 'Policy Directions and Development Plans for the Admissions Officer System'. It is arranged to allow readers to view the past, present, and future of the system at a glance.

Han Sang-eon, Vice-President of the Office of Admission, wrote in the foreword, 'The Admissions Officer System is a university admissions model that we should actively expand and develop going forward, insofar as it can offer clues to resolving the chronic problems of Korean education that have been repeatedly identified.' He added, 'JBNU will, based on our past experience, build a fairer and more reliable Admissions Officer selection process.'

JBNU, which has been actively implementing the Admissions Officer System as an advanced admissions model, has received government funding for five consecutive years. The university has led efforts on the three major tasks in admissions officer selection — fairness, reliability, and professionalism — and was selected as a lead university for the Admissions Officer System operation support project for three consecutive years since 2010.

In particular, JBNU has developed a variety of Admissions Officer selection procedures reflecting the characteristics of each recruitment unit. By appointing full-time admissions officers as well as faculty admissions officers and faculty-appointed admissions officers, and by conducting multiple, multi-stage evaluations, the university has been recognized for securing fairness, reliability, and professionalism.
