JBNU will identify individuals and companies that have excellent ideas but face difficulties in launching businesses, and support their start‑up development.
This follows the recent selection of JBNU's Startup Incubation Center as an operating institution for the Small and Medium Business Administration's 'Customized Start‑Up Program'.
The program seeks to discover entrepreneurs and early‑stage start‑ups with outstanding ideas and technologies, and to provide start‑up infrastructure—such as personnel support, mentors, and specialized programs—to help achieve tangible start‑up success.
JBNU will receive approximately KRW 1.1 billion in project funding from the Small and Medium Business Administration over one year. The funds will be used to provide start‑up capital, start‑up training, specialized programs, and mentoring.
Accordingly, JBNU is recruiting prospective entrepreneurs and start‑ups with outstanding ideas.
For eligibility, prospective entrepreneurs must be able to start a business within three months from the end of the support program. Companies must be individuals or legal entities that were established within one year as of the current date.
JBNU will review applications and select participants after a careful evaluation of start‑up readiness, the merits of the proposed item, the suitability of the start‑up plan, and business feasibility.
Extra points will be awarded to applicants who hold patents or utility model rights related to the submitted project; winners of Small and Medium Business Administration‑sponsored start‑up competitions within the past two years; those who have completed technology start‑up training courses; and to women and persons with disabilities.
