“I will do my utmost to promote industry–university–research cooperation and exchanges in the Jeonbuk region.”

Our university's Professor Kang Seong-jun (Director of the Small and Medium Enterprise Industry–University Cooperation Center) has recently assumed the post of chair of the Jeonbuk Industry–University–Research Council.

Accordingly, Professor Kang will serve his term through 2015 and will lead efforts to improve the technological capabilities of small and medium enterprises and promote technology development through mutual cooperation and exchange among industry, universities, and research institutes.

Professor Kang said, “While serving as chair, I will take the lead in establishing a collaborative system among industry, universities, and research institutes; planning initiatives to enhance the technological competitiveness of small and medium enterprises; developing relevant policies; and identifying research projects. I will also work to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with members nationwide so that the industry–university–research collaboration system in the Jeonbuk region can advance to the next level.”
