On March 11, Samsung Electronics held a recruitment briefing in the Geunsaram Hall of the Learning Library at JBNU. Students filled the seats, their eyes bright as they sought recruitment information tailored to them.

From the start of the new semester, JBNU's campus has been heating up with demand for positions at major companies. Major corporations are holding information sessions on campus to find outstanding talent, and students are attending in large numbers to obtain as much corporate recruitment information as possible.

With the semester opening on March 4, major companies—beginning with IBK (Industrial Bank of Korea) and including Hyundai Motor Company, E‑Land Group, Samsung Electronics, and Daewoo Engineering & Construction—have been visiting JBNU throughout March to hold some 20 recruitment briefings and counseling sessions.

At the Hyundai Motor recruitment briefing held on March 8, more than 250 students crowded into the Learning Library's career lecture room, which has a capacity of about 100, confirming students' strong enthusiasm for job hunting this new semester.

Reflecting this student enthusiasm, major companies are increasingly holding briefings at JBNU. This is attributed to JBNU's markedly improved reputation, as recent evaluations have placed it above some metropolitan universities in various assessments.

Beginning with IBK on March 4, Hyundai Motor on March 6, E‑Land Group on March 7, and Hyundai Oilbank on March 8 visited JBNU. Following these, a variety of companies visited, including Samsung Electronics on March 11; Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Division and BGF Retail on March 12; Daewoo Engineering & Construction and a Hana Life internship on March 13; and Samsung Engineering on March 15.

In response to this early‑semester hiring fervor, the university has implemented various programs to help students gain employment at major companies, receiving strong responses from students.

The Career Support Center operates online mock tests for job aptitude assessments in preparation for major companies' first‑half recruitment. It also posts the recruitment schedule on bulletin boards in March so that students can easily check and prepare.

It is also preparing a series of Geunsaram DREAM special lectures every Thursday throughout the month, including a special lecture titled 'Preparing for Employment at Major Companies' on March 14 by Kim Byung‑gu, former Executive Director of Samsung Electronics' Human Resources Division.

Lee Ae‑rim, a fourth‑year student in the Department of Business Administration who attended the briefing, said, 'Recruitment briefings by various major companies have continued since the start of the semester, and the university's tailored employment support programs are extremely helpful for preparing for employment.'
