Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) recently signed family-company agreements in succession with local broadcasters and decided to strengthen the Industry–University Collaboration system.

Through these agreements, close collaboration on students' on-site broadcasting training, as well as technology and information exchange, will be carried out, and students' entry into the broadcasting sector is expected to accelerate.

In this regard, JBNU signed family-company agreements consecutively with KBS Jeonju Broadcasting Station on March 6 and with JTV Jeonju Broadcasting on March 7.

Under the agreement, JBNU will, together with both broadcasters, exchange research and field personnel in the broadcasting sector, pursue technology transfer related to broadcasting, and hold seminars to share technical knowledge and information.

The parties also agreed to jointly utilize each institution's equipment and facilities and to actively support on-site training to help students obtain employment in broadcasting-related occupations.

President Seo Geoseok said, "I believe it is highly meaningful that we have decided to cooperate closely in a family relationship with JTV Jeonju Broadcasting, a regionally focused broadcaster that captures the lives and realities of Jeonbuk residents and is competitive nationwide," and added, "I hope that through this family-company agreement the competitiveness of both institutions can be upgraded by several levels."
