    Appointment of New College Deans and Heads of Affiliated Institutions

    The university appointed college deans, heads of affiliated institutions, and administrative faculty to begin their new terms effective March 1 and has begun efforts to strengthen competitiveness.

     

    Five administrative faculty received appointment letters on March 4: Go Seong-hee, Dean of the College of Nursing (Department of Nursing); Go Gyu-jin, Dean of the College of Humanities (Department of German Language & Literature); Kim Yeong-jeong, Director of the Center for Basic Liberal Arts Education (Department of Sociology); Jang Jun-gap, Editor-in-Chief of the University Press & Broadcasting Service (Department of History); and Jeon Gwang-ho, Director of the International Exchange Division (School of International Studies).

     

    Go Seong-hee, the newly appointed Dean of the College of Nursing, has served as a professor in the College of Nursing since 1982. She was dispatched as an overseas research professor to Yanbian University in China and has served as Chair of the Department of Nursing.

     

    Go Gyu-jin, the newly appointed Dean of the College of Humanities, has served as a professor in the Department of German Language & Literature since 1991. He has held administrative posts including Chair of the Department of German Language & Literature, Director of the Humanities Research Institute, and Deputy Director of the Residence Halls.

     

    Kim Yeong-jeong, the newly appointed Director of the Center for Basic Liberal Arts Education, has served as a professor in the Department of Sociology since 1983. She has served as Director of the Social Science Research Institute, Dean of the Graduate School of Public Administration, Dean of the College of Social Science, Head of the ACE Project Group, and Vice-President of the Office of Academic Affairs.

     

    Jang Jun-gap, the newly appointed Editor-in-Chief of the University Press & Broadcasting Service, has served as a professor in the Department of History, College of Humanities, since 2010 and teaches American Political History and Introduction to Historical Studies.

     

    Jeon Gwang-ho, the newly appointed Director of the International Exchange Division, was appointed as a professor in the newly established School of International Studies in recognition of his outstanding research competitiveness in international politics. He previously served as a visiting professor in the International Exchange Division of the International Cooperation Headquarters.
