Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) alumnus Gu Dae-yeon (Class of '76, Department of Chemical Engineering) was appointed on February 22 as the new CEO of Samyang Hwasung, an affiliate of the Samyang Group.

Gu Dae-yeon, CEO of Samyang Hwasung, is from Gimje. He graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering in 1983 and joined Samyang Hwasung in 1989.

He served as Production Team Leader, Technical Team Leader, and Environment and Safety Team Leader. After being appointed Executive Director in 2009, he served as Plant Manager of the Jeonju Plant.
