Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) has appointed Professor Sang-ho Cho of the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy Engineering, College of Engineering, as Deputy Director of the Office of Career Support.

On the morning of February 8, President Seo Gu-seok presented the appointment letter to the new Deputy Director Cho and urged him to devote himself to strengthening students' employability.

Accordingly, Deputy Director Cho will work for the next two years to raise students' employment rate.

Deputy Director Cho said, "Based on educational competitiveness, JBNU has been striving to strengthen students' employment competitiveness, and has achieved favorable results, including ranking second among national flagship universities in last year's employment rate," and added, "I will do my utmost to ensure that students can secure good positions through meaningful university experiences."

Deputy Director Cho graduated from the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy Engineering at JBNU, earned a master's degree from Chonnam National University, and completed his Ph.D. at Hokkaido University in Japan. He previously served as chair of the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy Engineering.
