"We attend university classes before enrollment!"

Our university is operating a Basic Academic Proficiency Enhancement Program to strengthen the fundamental academic skills of students entering this year and to help them adapt to university life.

The Basic Liberal Arts Education Center and the ACE Project Group are offering classes in basic English, mathematics, physics and chemistry from February 4 to 25 for three weeks, accepting applications from incoming students.

A total of 273 new students are participating in this preparatory learning program. Since its first implementation last year, enrollment has increased more than fourfold due to overwhelming interest among incoming students.

To improve basic academic skills, the program runs two sections each of English and mathematics, and one section each of physics and chemistry. Each subject provides three hours of instruction per day for a total of 45 hours.

Our university plans to conduct an academic achievement assessment after the program and to exempt students from taking the basic courses required in the first semester of their first year.

Se-hun Park, Director of the Basic Liberal Arts Education Center, said, "The preparatory learning for prospective university students is intended to reinforce fundamentals before admission and to promote adaptation to university life and the development of their potential," adding, "By strengthening their basic education, students will be able to receive higher-quality major education and improve their employment competitiveness."
