Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) has been selected as the operating institution for the "Youth Job Creation Internship Program" implemented by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the only university in the Honam region to receive this designation. Accordingly, JBNU will recruit students on an ongoing basis through the end of this year to provide internship subsidies related to job creation and start-ups, as well as training and consulting.

Job creation (創職) involves discovering previously non-existent occupations or creating new jobs by subdividing or restructuring existing roles. It is a field where youth can take on challenges with their creative ideas.

The Job Creation Internship Program enables youth to work for three months at emerging cultural-content companies, venture firms, and similar organizations to gain practical experience and learn job-creation and start-up know-how.

Accordingly, JBNU will recruit participating students and companies and help place students as interns at companies. Employers will receive 50% of the agreed wage for the intern during the internship period (monthly cap: KRW 800,000). For the youth, JBNU will provide job-creation workspace and equipment for six months after internship completion and support access to experts in job creation and start-ups.

In addition, basic entrepreneurship training programs such as "Entrepreneurial Mindset," "Business Cycle," and "Case Studies of Successful Entrepreneurs" will be offered to enhance interns' job-creation and start-up capabilities.

Also, if an intern succeeds in job creation or starting a business within one year of completing the internship, a job-creation grant of KRW 2,000,000 will be provided.

Inquiries about participation in the Job Creation Internship Program can be directed to the Business Incubator (063-270-4886 / 715-5700).
