Jeonbuk National University (JBNU)'s Integrated Executive Program conferred certificates on 56 graduates for the first time on February 2.

At the ceremony, President Seo Geoseok; faculty holding administrative positions at University Headquarters; An Chun-yeop, President of the 1st Cohort Alumni Association; Choi Baek-ryeol, Program Director of the Executive Program; and family members attended to congratulate the graduates.

An awards ceremony recognizing outstanding graduates was also held. An Chun-yeop, CEO of Doosan Forklift Jeonbuk Sales, received the top prize. Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Daesin Industrial Development, and Kim Kyung-nam, CEO of Woong Valve, received excellence awards.

In particular, to mark the significance of being the first graduating class of the Integrated Executive Program, the graduates pooled contributions to donate 200 million won to the development fund.

President Seo Geoseok said, 'I believe that acquiring new knowledge and building a broad human network through the Executive Program has laid a solid foundation for actively leading modern society.' He added, 'Please make every effort to apply the knowledge you acquired and mastered in the Executive Program for the development of the nation and region, as well as for the advancement of JBNU.'

Meanwhile, since last year JBNU has reorganized four separate executive training programs under the University Headquarters to build an intellectually rich and dignified network for the nation's top leaders and to provide a forum for self-development through future-oriented educational content.

Last year, the existing executive training programs were upgraded to provide advanced knowledge in management and economics, international relations, culture, the arts, and liberal arts. To allow participants to share ideas, information, knowledge, and resources, the academic schedule was organized with two evening lectures every Thursday, totaling 37 courses and two intensive tracks. These changes were evaluated as having greatly improved the quality of the program.

In addition to the academic curriculum, the program operated a variety of extracurricular activities such as participant visits to organizations, overseas study tours to advanced sites, workshops, and cultural experiential activities.
