Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) recorded one of the highest pass rates among medical schools and medical graduate schools nationwide on the 77th Medical Licensing Examination.

JBNU had 107 passes out of 111 examinees, a high pass rate of 96.4%.

These results substantially exceed the national average (92.4%), reaffirming JBNU's status as an outstanding medical education institution nationwide.

In particular, among large universities nationwide that produced 100 or more graduates from medical programs, JBNU achieved top results alongside Kyungpook National University, outperforming most universities in the Seoul area.

JBNU's strong performance on the Medical Licensing Examination is attributed to the Medical School faculty's passion for teaching and close, mentorship-focused instruction grounded in exceptional devotion to students, together with active support from the University Headquarters and Jeonbuk National University Hospital.

Kwak Yong-geun, Dean of the Medical School, said, "That JBNU records one of the highest pass rates on the Medical Licensing Examination every year demonstrates that it is a premier institution for training excellent physicians who combine intellect and character," adding, "We will not be satisfied with this and will work harder to develop into a world-class medical education institution."
