    Kim Tae-jung Elected New President of Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Alumni Journalists Association

    Kim Tae-jung, Editorial Writer and Director of Media and Video Planning at the Jeonbuk Domin Ilbo, has been elected president of the JBNU Alumni Journalists Association, a social association of current and former journalists who graduated from Jeonbuk National University (JBNU).

    The JBNU Alumni Journalists Association held an executive committee meeting recently and announced on the 4th that the committee unanimously elected Director Kim Tae-jung as president.

    Accordingly, Kim Tae-jung will serve a two-year term as president of the JBNU Alumni Journalists Association until January 2015.

    Kim, the newly elected president, said, "JBNU as a regional flagship university, the media, and the local community must work in full unity to seek dramatic development in the Jeonbuk region," and added, "As the journalists' association of a regional flagship university, we will strive to play a central role in uniting efforts for local community development."

    Kim Tae-jung graduated from the Department of Economics at JBNU and worked as a journalist at the Jeonbuk Domin Ilbo for more than 30 years. He served as head of the political desk, Seoul bureau chief, and editor-in-chief, and is currently serving as an editorial writer and Director of Media and Video Planning at the Jeonbuk Domin Ilbo.
