Professor Moon-Ho Lee, a visiting professor who was the first in the world to discover the 'Jacket matrix' and who attracted attention from the international academic community, has published Jacket Matrices, which compiles 30 years of related research, through the German publisher LAP LAMBERT.

In this book, Professor Lee details the motivation for the discovery of the Jacket matrix, its construction, and applications to communications signal processing across ten chapters.

The 'Jacket matrix' is a matrix that allows the inverse of a system to be obtained easily by taking the inverse of each matrix element. It is listed in the Wikipedia encyclopedia and has received more than 71,000 views, reflecting significant interest.

The fundamental idea of the 'Jacket matrix,' as Professor Lee explains, emphasizes first impressions; he found the basis of the matrix in aspects that make facial features stand out in such encounters.

Currently, the Jacket matrix, which is being usefully applied to signal processing in mobile communications, is used in PN sequence matrices, CDMA codes, 4G MIMO SVD, precoding, downlink block-diagonal inverse matrices, channel-diagonal interference alignment, Tensor Kronecker products, nanotechnology, and cryptographic codes.

Regarding research on Jacket matrices, Professor Lee has conducted leading research in the related field, publishing 160 SCI papers.

Meanwhile, on November 30, Professor Lee was invited by the mathematics faculty of MIT's School of Engineering, including Professor Gilbert Strang, to present recent research trends on Jacket matrices under the title "Why Jacket Matrices?"

The 'Jacket matrix' is a generalization of the Hadamard matrix discovered in 1893, and its application to multimedia mobile communication signal processing has been highly valued.

Generation methods for Jacket matrices are included in Chapter 4 of the mathematics textbook "Hadamard Matrices" (2007) by K. J. Horadam, published by Princeton University.
