At the end of the year, our university has been extending a warm hand to people in need, serving as a model for the local community.

Last month, proceeds from a large-scale charity bazaar and donations collected from university members—totaling approximately KRW 22 million—were delivered to underprivileged people in our community.

On the 11th, President Seo Geoseok handed part of the donations to media outlets and visited welfare facilities including Jeongdaun Day Care Center in Deokjin-dong, Dongam Rehabilitation Center, and Sohwa Jindalne House, delivering 166 bags of rice (20 kg per bag). He also provided funds to members of the armed forces and the Korean Tuberculosis Association, expressing warm neighborly care.

In addition, the Employee Council, composed of university staff (Chair Lee Kyung-chun), also rolled up its sleeves to share.

The Employee Council plans to hold a kimchi-making event at Jinsudang Gain Hall from 2:00 p.m. on December 14 to prepare kimchi for underprivileged neighbors.

The following morning, on the 15th at 10:00 a.m., they will hold a 'Delivering Briquettes of Love' event and distribute 2,000 briquettes and bags of rice to disadvantaged neighbors.

President Seo Geoseok said, 'I am proud and pleased that the warm sentiments gathered bit by bit by our members can be put to meaningful use for people in need. As a regional hub university, we will fulfill our responsibilities. Going forward, the university will take the lead in building a social service system and strengthen support for vulnerable groups.'
