Professor Baek Jong-in (Law School) has been appointed president of the Korean Association of Public Law.
Professor Baek was elected the new president at the 18th General Meeting of the Korean Association of Public Law held on December 8 at Jinsudang on our campus, and will lead the association for the next year.
The Korean Association of Public Law, established in 1995, is a nationwide scholarly organization dedicated to the study of state law. It holds two regular academic conferences each year and publishes the journal 'Research in State Law' twice annually.
Professor Baek emphasized, "I will actively focus on public-law responses to policy challenges facing the state and society—such as constitutional amendment debates expected with the new government, reforms for decentralization and balanced regional development, and economic democratization policies." He added, "Through this, the association will fulfill its responsibilities in response to changing times and contribute to balanced regional development of scholarship."
He went on to say, "We also plan to further expand opportunities for early-career scholars to participate."
