“Jeondae, a university that teaches well, produces the nation’s top talent. Please pay attention so that they can lead regional development at local companies.”
Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), which annually hosts a roundtable inviting HR chiefs from the country’s top 200 leading companies and whose president and students visit companies to conduct “graduate sales,” invited senior executives of outstanding companies leading the Jeonbuk region to the university for a roundtable.
Held on December 4 at 5:00 p.m. in Jinsudang Gain Hall, the roundtable was organized to inform companies of JBNU’s national top-tier standing and the true qualities of its outstanding talent.
President Seo Geoseok and Vice-President Shin Hyo-geun, along with JBNU officials and members of the Academic Affairs Committee, attended together with representatives from 66 companies representing Jeonbuk, including OCI, LS엠트론, 하림, LG생명과학, 넥솔론, KB 중공업, and engaged in various discussions on student employment and industry–university collaboration.
Through this, JBNU expects to instill a positive image with leading companies, dramatically improve the reputation of its graduates, and thereby enhance students’ employment competitiveness.
At the roundtable, Yoon Young-sang, Deputy Vice-President for Planning, presented JBNU’s recent major achievements that have placed it among the nation’s top universities. Seol Kyung-won, Center Director of the LINC Project Group, explained the outstanding industry–university cooperation programs operated by the project group.
President Seo Geoseok said, “Through changes and innovations that no other university in the country has attempted, our university has overcome regional limitations and solidified its status as a leading university representing Korea,” and added, “Please keep an eye on our outstanding graduates, and we hope they will be given many opportunities to work at excellent companies in our region.”
