“Although additional study rooms were added on campus last year, they are still insufficient. Do you have plans to expand them?” — Lee Hyun-se, Student Council President
“We plan to create some 40 additional study rooms on the first floor of Jinsudang, in Student Union Building No. 1, the new library and elsewhere, to ensure that any student can study freely.” — President Seo Geoseok

The "President–Student Dialogue" was held at 3:00 PM on November 28 in Jinsudang Gain Hall. President Seo Geoseok, the Student Council President, Student Council executives, the president and officers of the JBNU Student Club Association, college and department student council presidents, and about 200 students exchanged constructive discussions on campus life, improving educational conditions, and university policies. The dialogue, which began at 3:00 PM, continued for more than three hours until sunset when darkness fell.

Ranked No. 1 nationwide in service satisfaction by the Korea Standards Association, 5th nationwide in satisfaction with scholarships and welfare benefits by JoongAng Ilbo, and 5th nationwide in overall student life satisfaction according to the Kyunghyang Shinmun evaluation released on the 27th. Our university's high student satisfaction nationwide is rooted in continuous communication with students.

Every year, our university has engaged in various communication efforts not only with students but also with faculty, staff, alumni, and companies. This year as well, the president and students held an open and candid dialogue together.

During the dialogue, offices and divisions presented major student support programs. In the informal Q&A session, students' suggestions were heard, and the university headquarters shared messages conveying what it expects of students.

Students made a variety of proposals related to enhancing educational competitiveness, including expanding study rooms, plans for operating the new library, measures to support and revitalize career clubs, and improving the quality of overseas volunteer programs and the Global Leader Project. The university headquarters responded that it would not spare investment in education, receiving strong support.

President Seo Geoseok said, "Our university has been evaluated as steadily solidifying its status as a leading university in Korea, based on achievements in education and research that no other university has attained recently," and added, "However, we will not stop here. Through world-class education and research, we will establish global standards for higher education in Korea and work harder to improve not only students' employment rates but also the quality of employment."

President Seo added, "The moment you bring out the potential that lies within you, your future will change dramatically," and urged, "Set great, ambitious goals and become students who challenge the world."
